The Hunger Games is a book series written by Suzanne Collins and is about to become a major motion picture which will be released on the 23rd March 2012. The series is set in a post apocalyptic world in the eyes of main character Katniss Everdeen. Katniss lives in distrct 12 in a country named Panem (what was once North Amerca).The Capitol governs Panem and every year forces all districts of Panem to hold a lottery in whch a boy and a girl are picked at random to be sent into a arena to fight to the death. When Katniss's little sister, Prim, gets chosen Katniss changes her life by voluntaring to take her place in the games. Then ,Peeta Mellark is chosen, who has secretly loved Katniss from an early age and who Katniss is in debt to her when he saved her life. Expect fun, excitment, tears and laughter and for the philosophcal minds expect some reflection on what your life may mean.
